Do not try any mountain hikes if you do not understand the mountain terrains, dangers from wildlife, first aid, water and snacks, your own fitness, remote activity preparations, communication tools, mountain geography, topography, risk factors, hse requirements, hiking alone, not having a group with similar fitness. Study all the above matters well before following any trails that you find online. Please do not overestimate yourself. Better be safe than put yourself / group in danger and regret later. 2020 has seen a lot of unwanted Hiking Incidents that could have been avoided with better preparation. Wish you All the best. If you don’t like the full tour of Wadi Taween this is a short but interesting one of the best. Accessed by 2wd, parked by the tree on the left side of the track at the beginning of the wadi. Follow the track until you reach a rocky outcrop and take the road to your left (shown for point). There is a goat trail on the side of the valley that makes the first half easier to walk but as the stream begins to climb a certain rock jumps up and you will need less acceleration.
For geologists, there are some interesting stones along the way. Eventually, you’ll reach the ridgeline – don’t forget to look back at your route from time to time for a better view. Behind the ridgeline are just a short walk to the farm and the nearby Jebel Yibir highway. Here you have a choice, either follow the road (left) towards Al Tawain with your car or if you feel knowledgeable (and right!), Cross the road and hit the bottom of the river running along the road and follow it back towards Al Tawian.
