In line with government guidelines, we ask visitors to consider wearing a face covering in our indoor spaces, shops and crowded places unless exempt. We recommend visitors continue to maintain a respectful distance from staff and other visitors not in their group. Please continue to show courtesy and consideration for other people visiting the Palaces.

We are sorry to hear that you have had issues downloading your tickets. We are making some changes to our website to improve our customer experience and that has caused a technical issue for a small number of ticket holders. If you are not able to download your e-tickets using the link in your confirmation email, please show your reference number which begins 42xxxxxxxxx to the ticket desk when you arrive and staff on site will be able to print your tickets for you.

Your ticket to the Tower of London includes: Yeoman Warders positioned at key points where they tell captivating stories of the history of the Tower of London The Crown Jewels The White Tower Battlements, Medieval Palace, Bloody Tower, Torture at the Tower exhibition, Fusiliers Museum and Royal Mint exhibition (all other buildings remain closed) Some of the buildings remain closed for now.

Tickets for the Ceremony of the Keys must to booked in advance online. Tickets for future dates will be released periodically on our website, usually on the first working day of the month. On these dates, the next months’ worth of tickets will be released, so for example on 01 March, tickets for the whole month of April will be released.

Those with a registered disability are entitled to a concession ticket to the Tower of London, as access is difficult in many areas. Complimentary adult carer tickets can be obtained on the day of your visit upon presentation of proof of registered disability (such as a Blue Badge, Freedom Pass, DLA letter or PIP letter). The access page has further detail on what to expect during your visit.

As a member, it is recommended to pre-book a timeslot for your visit using the Member portal. This is to ensure the safety of both visitors and staff. If you are unable to login with your membership number and surname, try a space after your surname. It is not case-specific. If this doesn’t help, please email our team at members@hrp.org.uk.

Students: You are entitled to a concession rate ticket if you are 16 or over and in full time education. You are required to show a current student identification card once on site to validate the discounted price. International students are entitled to this rate if they also meet these requirements with a valid ID card. 16-17 years: You may be required to show an identification card (with your date of birth) once on site to validate the discounted price. International visitors are entitled to this rate if they also meet these requirements of proof of age. 65+ years: You may be required to show an identification card (with your date of birth) once on site to validate the discounted price. International visitors are entitled to this rate if they also meet these requirements of proof of age. Those with a registered disability: You are entitled to a concession ticket to the Tower of London, as access is difficult in many areas.

We offer a 30% discount to holders of a valid MOD90 card, the Defence Discount card, or the MOD Certificate of Eligibility at our London palaces. How much are tickets? MOD Adult: £21.00 / MOD Child: £10.50 / MOD Family 1: £36.70 / MOD Family 2: £57.70 A MOD family ticket will allow entrance for 1 military personnel, 1 additional adult and up to 3 children. A MOD family 1 ticket with allow entrance for 1 military personnel and up to 3 children without the additional adult. Unless otherwise stated, these prices are valid from March 2022 and subject to our Terms & Conditions.

The Tower of London is a fortress, and has limited entry points. There is no fast track entry option and an element of queuing is to be expected on most days. All visitors are required to undergo a bag check before gaining admission. There may also be additional queuing for popular exhibitions once inside the Tower on busy days.

Tickets purchased directly through our website can be shown on your mobile device or printed out.

Your admission ticket is valid for one entry only, and no re-entry is permitted.

London Pass holders need to bring their Pass with them to show our Admissions team on arrival on the day of your visit. Whilst we cannot pre-book your free space, we will admit you on the next available timeslot when you visit. As we are operating with a limited capacity please note that you might have to queue, and we appreciate your patience if this should happen.

To use the 2 for 1 offer, you must bring a printed copy of your Days Out voucher, along with your train ticket, to the Ticket Office on the day of your visit. The offer can only be redeemed on the day of your visit for tickets purchased on site. For more information on days out and attractions in London, please visit daysoutguide.co.uk. Historic Royal Palaces are not part of the Tesco days out token scheme.

Third party vouchers cannot be redeemed on the Historic Royal Palaces website, and you will need to contact the voucher provider to make your booking for you. Tickets purchased through a third party provider are subject to the Terms and Conditions of that company and you would need to contact them directly to discuss your booking or request further information about the offer.

Only those named on the membership account can use a membership card to gain admission. If you are visiting with a friend who is not a member, they will be required to purchase a ticket. If you hold a joint or family membership the same terms and conditions apply, and only those named on the account will be granted admission using the card.

To use your Blue Peter badge, please bring the badge, card and proof of age to our ticket office on arrival and we'll issue a free ticket. As children are only able to use a Blue Peter badge when accompanied by an adult, please book the paid tickets you require in advance, selecting the palace you’d like to visit and clicking the ‘Buy tickets’ option in the top right corner. Whilst we cannot pre-book these free spaces, we will admit Blue Peter badge holders on the same timeslot as your pre-booked ticket(s) and will not ask your party to split up.

Due to the historic nature of the building, there is no on-site car parking facility at the Tower of London. Blue Badge allocated parking spaces can be found nearby in the Tower Hill Coach and Car Park.

Toilets are available at the following locations: Brick Tower, behind the Jewel House (male, female, accessible toilets and baby changing facilities) Salt Tower (male toilets) Cradle Tower (female and accessible toilets) All toilets have disabled access and baby changing facilities. Changing Places toilet: Ground floor lobby of New Armouries building next to the café. Access to the toilet is via radar key. (A key can be obtained from café staff, to be retuned after use.)

Blue Badge guides may guide within the Tower. Please book directly with them through Guide London.

We will: Provide hand sanitiser dispensers for visitors at all entrance points, in our shops and cafes. All staff will be issued with detailed guidance on maintaining high standards of hygiene and this guidance will also be available in public areas to ensure visitors maintain the same standards Implement a frequent and comprehensive cleaning regime

Where appropriate – particularly where closer contact with members of the public is required – our staff will be issued with PPE, or may be working behind screens, for their protection and to protect our visitors. All staff working ‘on the floor’ will be provided with gloves and the option of using a facemask.

If you lose something during your visit, please contact the nearest member of staff. All lost property is held by Business Reception. Alternatively, contact info@hrp.org.uk and we’ll do our best to try to reunite you with your property.

All recognised guide, assistance or service dogs - including assistance dogs in training - are welcome inside the Tower. Please make sure they are wearing their designated jacket or lead slip. No other dogs are permitted within the Tower of London.

Visitors must keep their belongings with them at all times. There is no luggage storage at the Tower of London.

There is no specific dress code for visitors to the Tower of London. We do ask that you dress respectfully as families are likely to be present. If there are offensive slogans or other clothing items deemed to be inappropriate, you may be approached by a member of staff and asked to address this. Where this is not possible, you may be asked to use your tickets on an alternative day. We ask that visitors do not dress in historical costume.

You are permitted to spend as much time as you like within the Tower of London during opening hours on the date of your booking. You could spend the entire day at the Tower if you wanted a detailed visit, but we recommend allowing at least three hours, dependent on queues.

You are welcome to take non-commercial photographs (without the use of flash) within most of the palace with the exception of the Jewel House, the Martin Tower and some temporary exhibitions. Some additional items or imagery may be prohibited from being photographed and this will be clearly signposted. Ask a member of staff if you are unsure. The use of tripods and selfie-sticks is prohibited. Images of the palace are available for sale from our Photographic Library. Requests for commercial photography, filming or sketching should be made in advance with our Press team.

As Historic Royal Palaces is a charity, we receive no funding from the Government or the Crown, so we depend on the support of our visitors, members, donors, volunteers and sponsors. We are unable to support other fundraising activities with complimentary tickets.

We do not hold any detailed information at the Tower. Most records are held at the Public Record Office in Kew. You may also consult the Family History section of The National Archives.
