WHAT IS THE NATIONAL MUSEUM OF NATURAL HISTORY?

The National Museum of Natural History is a public cultural, scientific and professional establishment. It is placed under the dual supervision of the Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation and the Ministry of Ecological Transition. At the crossroads of earth, life and human sciences, the vocation of the Museum is exercised through five activities: conservation and enrichment of collections, research, higher education, expertise and the dissemination of scientific knowledge. WHAT ARE THE SITES OF THE MUSEUM?

The Museum includes 11 sites open to the public throughout France as well as two marine stations, laboratories, a prehistoric excavation site... In Paris, within the Jardin des Plantes (Paris 5th arrondissement ), 7 places of visit are open to the public: the Grande Galerie de l'Évolution, the Galerie des Enfants, the Galerie d'Anatomie comparee et de Paléontologie, the Galerie de Geologie and Mineralogy, the Virtual Reality Cabinet, the Great Greenhouses of the Jardin des Plantes and the Menagerie, the zoo of the Jardin des Plantes. In Paris, you can also visit the Musée de l'Homme (16th arrondissement) and the Paris Zoological Park ( 12th arrondissement). In Île-de-France, you can discover the Arboretum of Versailles-Chèvreloup (78). In the Region, you are welcome at the Haute-Touche Zoological Reserve (36), at the Harmas Jean-Henri Fabre (84), at the Concarneau Marinarium (29), at the Val Rahmeh-Menton Botanical Garden (06 ), the La Jaÿsinia Alpine Garden (74), the Abri Pataud (24) and the Paléosite de Sansan (32). HOW TO BUY YOUR TICKET?

You can buy your tickets online at the Museum ticket office or on site at the ticket desks at each of our visit sites. You can also buy your tickets on the Fnac network.

HOW TO AVOID QUEUES AT CHECKOUTS?

You can buy and print your skip-the-line tickets in advance at the Museum ticket office . Reservations on the Fnac network are possible for the galleries of the Jardin des Plantes and the Musée de l'Homme. We invite you to consult the practical information of our sites for more information.

CAN I ENTER THE SITES OF THE MUSEUM WITH THE CULTURE CARD?

Not dependent on the Ministry of Culture, the Museum does not offer free admission or reductions for holders of the Culture Card on all of its sites.

IS THERE A TICKET FOR ALL THE SITES OF THE MUSEUM?
