WHAT IS AN ESCAPE ROOM?
An escape room is a themed room that your team has situationally been 'trapped' in and must piece together information in order to escape. You may find puzzle pieces, hidden objects or texts, sensors and triggers that will need to be used correctly in order to open the locks that will lead to your exit and win.
HOW LONG DOES THE EXPERIENCE TAKE?
Approximately 1 hr 30 mins. 10-15 minutes briefing ahead of the game. 60 minutes in the room. 10 minute de-brief. Allow for bathroom checks, potential over-time in the room or late attendees.
WHAT ARE YOUR STANDARD PRICES?
2 players - $100 3 players - $150 4 players - $200 5 players - $225 6 players - $270 7 players - $315 8 players - $360 F.E.A.R. is a set price of $50 per person, regardless of group size. Children 6 years and younger are free.
WHAT HAPPENS IF WE DON'T FINISH IN TIME?
We have some beds, a bathroom and can slide some food under the door once a day. Settle in! Just kidding. If we have time to spare we will try and give you some over time or come in and walk you through the remainder of the game (if you want!). This is not always guaranteed but we will try our best with the time we have.
WHERE IS THE BEST PLACE TO PARK?
O'Connell Street location- Aird Street Westfield Parking Church Street location- Eat Street Car Park or Westfield parking Always leave plenty of time to find parking as Parramatta is a bustling city!
CAN WE HAVE A CHILDREN'S BIRTHDAY PARTY AT SCRAM?
Escape rooms are a very popular birthday party activity! At O'Connell street we have three games on offer. We unfortunately do not have any extra room for the party to stay before or after the game for food. At Church Street we have the escape rooms and a seating area you can use for a strict maximum of 30 minutes after your game. We only allow this space to cut and share cake. No hot food is to be brought to the venue please. We unfortunately do not offer a dedicated host, food or drinks.
BIRTHDAY PRICING
Birthday pricing is for 16 year olds birthdays and younger. 8 Players minimum in a room at $35 per player. If you are using two rooms you will need 8 in each to keep the set price at $35 per player. Give us a call to book in your child's birthday.
DO YOU CATER?
No, we do not. However, we are located very close to Church street. Better known these days as EAT STREET. There are plenty of restaurants to choose from to take your team before or after the game.
WHAT IF WE WANT TO BRING MORE THAN THE ALLOWED NUMBER OF PEOPLE IN THE ROOMS?
More players may mean that some will be left out as there are only so many puzzles that can be worked on at one time. We reccommend either splitting into separate escape rooms where possible if you have a large group. However, if you desperately want an extra person or so in the one room you can give us a call and we may be able to abide depending on the room.
CAN I ADD ON EXTRA PLAYERS ONCE I HAVE PAID?
You sure can! If you're unsure of numbers we recommend purchasing the game for the numbers you are sure of and you can pay the rest when you arrive.

CAN I JUST PAY A DEPOSIT FOR NOW?
Yes. When booking the site will automatically ask you to pay a $50 deposit towards your booking. The remainder can be paid when you come in to the event. If you would like to pay in full there will be the option in your booking form.
TERMS & CONDITIONS
Reschedules Players may reschedule their booking up until 24 hours prior to their game start time. If players need to reschedule within 24 hours of their game start time they will need to pay a rescheduling fee of $50. If you have rescheduled within 24 hours and paid the fee, you will not be able to cancel at a later date in return for a credit. Breakages By agreeing to play one of our rooms you are accepting responsibility for your behaviour during the game. Any breakages or failure to follow the Game Masters instructions may result in your being asked to leave the premises early and provide monetary compensation for excessive breakage. Refunds/Cancellations If you are cancelling before 24 hours of your event we will provide a credit for the amount paid. We do not give out cash refunds once the booking is confirmed. If you need to cancel your entire booking within 24 hours of the event we will not provide any refunds/credits. If some members of the group are no longer attending we need 24 hours notice prior to the event in order to provide a credit. Lateness If you are running more than 15 minutes late for your session the Game Master has the right to shorten or cancel your game. This may be necessary to avoid the next session being affected or the employee exceeding their rostered hours. No Shows If you or some players do not show up to the booking you forfeit the money put down on the booking. We will not provide a refund or credit for no shows.
DO YOU DO GIFT VOUCHERS?
Yes! There are two ways to purchase a gift certificate. 1. Click 'Book Now' on our website and it will give you the option of booking an escape room > Select Filter > Select Gift Voucher > follow the prompts 2. Or give us a call and you can pay over the phone. Certificates are digital and will be sent to you via email once you have paid the certificate amount.
