The community basically extends Al Mamzar to Dubai and offers affordable accommodation to locals and foreigners, alike. Here you will find a series of apartments that make up a cohesive community. In fact, according to Byayut’s 2019 H1 Market Report, Al Mamzar is one of the most well-known places for renting and buying apartments in Sharjah. The residential region shares borders with Dubai and mainly has residential properties. Outside the sandy beach, it is close to Al Mamzar Beach Park and several well-known schools. Therefore, many families choose to stay in Al Mamzar Sharjah. Also, with year-round rental housing prices, they cater to the desired community in family-focused communities. With sunny beaches and parks nearby, Al Mamzar is a healthy community with busy streets.
PROPERTY
The buildings in Al Mamzar Sharjah are a combination of apartments and houses on the beach, however, these houses are inhabited by locals but, there are a variety of buildings with public beach beaches open for rent and purchase. It would not be wrong to say that Al Mamzar is a refuge for those who choose to live in cohesive communities and in apartment buildings. It would be much easier for middle-income earners to seek out rental units than to buy an apartment in Al Mamzar. However, from an investor’s point of view, this could be the right time. Prices are low as seen in the Bayut real estate report for 2019.
TRANSPORT AND PARKING
There are many parking spaces in Al Mamzar Sharjah for residents. Typically, apartments have a dedicated area in the basement while the villas are large enough to accommodate a separate parking garage. If you have a private vehicle, traveling in the city can be easy for two reasons. First, it will be close to the E11 Ittihad Road, in just 7 minutes by car, which continues to connect to Al Wahda Street with neighboring communities. Those who would like public transportation in Al Mamzar have two options – bus or metro. Access to the metropolitan station will still require short driving while some bus stands are far away. M2, Bus C10 and Bus C15 shuttle around the public.
Supermarkets
With regular shopping and food, you can find many supermarkets in Al Mamzar. Masaya Supermarket, Al Afnan Supermarket and Al Abraj Supermarket are available in less than 10 minutes but you will have to check the top hours. The nearby Carrefour is located near Nahda Park in Al Nahda Tower A.
CHURCHES, TEMPLE AND MOSQUES
The Muslim community will find many mosques in Al Mamzar. Apart from Al Mamzar Masjid and Al Ferdous Mosque in the community, one can go to places of worship in the neighborhood. These include Al Taawun Masjid in Ansar Mall, Al Qasba Mosque and Al Akhyar Mosque in Al Majaz. As for the churches near Al Mamzar, one can find the International Baptist Church in 12 minutes by car. Temples have not yet been built in Sharjah but if you want, you can visit Shrinath Ji Temple in Dubai which is accessible in about 20 minutes by car.
SCHOOLS
Toddlers can go to Chubby Cheeks Nursery and Little Wonders Nursery in the neighboring Al Taawun community. Both of these options are block only. VISS, also known as Victoria International School in Al Mamzar Sharjah, is a well-known and licensed institution. It offers the Australian (Victoria) curriculum in all primary and secondary grades. In addition to academic excellence, VISS also has a sports, drama and music center. Another well-respected school in the area is Al Ittihad Private School, which – as the name suggests – is a private school. It follows the standard American curriculum from Pre-Kindergarten to Grade 12.
MEDICAL STORE AND HOSPITALS
Oriana Hospital on Al Taawun Road and Dr Talal Clinic are two main clinics and hospitals in Al Mamzar. Other providers of nearby medical facilities include Manchester Dental, Kiran Dermosurge and Universal Medical Care. This can be achieved with general health problems, dental problems and skin counseling. The most famous Aster clinic in Al Nahda is 9 minutes away.
NEARBY AREAS
The maritime community is close to the border shared with Dubai. Off the coast from the Arabian Gulf, it is surrounded by Sharjah regions including Al Taawun and Al Khan. Al Mamzar also has direct access to Al Ittihad Street E11 and Al Nahda.
Malls
The Al Arab Mall in Al Mamzar Sharjah is a popular shopping destination. Built near the Taawun Roundabout towards the Sharjah Expo Center, it is available in a number of space locations. Without shopping, families and teens come here to spend time with friends and enjoy the delicious court food. Other nearby options include Ansar Mall and Safeer Mall Sharjah.
Restaurants
Foodies will find many restaurants in Al Mamzar, Sharjah especially with dots on Al Ittihad Street and Al Taawun Street. 7-minute street food restaurant is an American restaurant where locals can enjoy American fast food items. Those who like to try overseas cuisine can go to Bangkok Town Restaurant (Thai), the Center of Russian Traditions or Shababeek Restaurant (Lebanese). Popular Indian and Pakistani cafes are located in a 10-minute drive, called Bait Al Rawi Restaurant and Al Ghaar.
Beaches
Al Mamzar Open Beach and Beach Park are the two charms of the area. The most popular place for water sports while families also enjoy picnics and BBQ parties here. One can also enjoy cycling and children’s activities in the park. Another beach option near Al Mamzar, Sharjah is Al Khan Beach for a 14 minute drive.
