OVERVIEW:
The Abu Dhabi emirate is famous for being one of the greenest areas in the UAE. And while many visitors think of the recently revived Umm Al Emarat Park as a recreational area, green spaces like Khalifa Park Abu Dhabi should also be mentioned in particular.
ABOUT:
Named after the rise of Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Khalifa Park is one of the oldest parks in Abu Dhabi. It cost about $ 50 million to build. The park has its own museum, train, aquarium, play parks, and official garden. In addition, the park also has some of the best BBQ locations in town, which is why it makes an ideal place for family gatherings.
Other popular park features that opened in 2007 include a cultural library, beautiful water features, an open hall, ponds, small waterfalls, a hall, a marine museum, canals, fountains and playgrounds dedicated to children. Here is a detailed review of the attractions of the park.
ACTIVITIES:
RIDE THE TRAIN:
The train at Khalifa Park is a great way for parents and children to move from one side of the park to the other, and have fun while doing so. Each ride is accompanied by music to make the trip more enjoyable. The train often stops along the way, so that tourists can check out the attractions. Running to the edge of the park, visitors can get a ride from two places, either from the station near the main entrance or the library on the edge of the park. From 03:00 pm, the Khalifa Park Abu Dhabi train is easy for families with infants who may be exhausted after a day of crossing the park or visiting its many attractions.
MARITIME MUSEUM:
The Maritime Museum in Khalifa Park is located near the entrance to the gymnasium. Just turn left after entering the park and look for the sign “Abu Dhabi – A Journey Through Time.” A typical tour of the Khalifa Park museum begins with a video introducing a tour and includes the following attractions.
Time tunnel:
The tour includes a capsule without a mobile flat that physically carries passengers through the Time Tunnel. The Tunnel Tunnel at Khalifa Park is a ride that gives visitors a historical context in the emirate transformation with scenes and wax sculptures depicting the history of the UAE from its pre-Union days. The Emiratis Animatronic wax figures weave clothes, lift and welcome guests as the capsule passes through the early stages of travel. Then there is the chart of the collapse of the pearl fishing industry and the development of the oil industry.
Sitting for about 20 minutes, air-conditioned rides are a welcome option for those visiting the park during the hot summer months.
Khalifa Park Aquarium:
Once the capsule tour is complete, visitors can head up to the top of the Khalifa Park aquarium. Featuring a series of small aquariums each preserves different fish and marine life, this area is ideal for families with children. The giant tortoise attracts mainly young visitors.
MURJAN SPLASH PARK:
Perhaps why the park hits hard during the summer, Murjan Splash Park is a water park with activities focused on a large playground complete with a crawling tunnel, water wheel, water guns, and more. Other notable activities at Caliph’s water park include:
• Lazy River Walk If you walk behind a water park, a lazy river ride of 0.6 meters makes way and turns and is completely safe for young children.
• Surf Wrangler: Only children ages 11 and older are allowed on this trip and for good reason. Incorporating a machine surfboard, this simulator is controlled by a server that can reverse or speed up judgment from the caller’s calibration skills. Don’t worry though. Inflexible children have a soft spot to sit on.
• Bumper Boats These are small battery-powered boats designed for small children where they can play sailors and collide slightly. Located on the outskirts of Khalifa Park, the facilities available at Murjan Splash Park include restaurants and beverages as well as tower rentals and locks. Skilled first aid personnel are also available in case of accidents. Didn’t you come in swimwear? You can always shop here with bath towels. Changing rooms are also available. LIBRARY:
There are various libraries for children and adults in Khalifa Park Abu Dhabi, each with its own entrance which is located in different buildings. While libraries have English literature, most are in Arabic. Visitors are expected to be quiet, however. We recommend that you avoid the library if you have children who are upset at your party as disturbed guests are asked to leave.
GYM:
The Adgrenagy Training Club at Khalifa Park offers visitors a holistic approach to achieving their fitness goals. Professional instructors are on hand to provide guidance and continuously monitor your progress. Each client is provided customized training programs based on their objectives and a variety of training options to help them achieve these. Additionally, personal trainers also ensure that their charges are educated on their routines to make them more comfortable and rise to their fitness aspirations more efficiently.
