Sheikh Mohammed granted permission for the synagogue, which became the first synagogue to be built in Dubai in over 25 years.

The synagogue, which is located in the same building as Chabad House Dubai, was named the Magen Avot Synagogue. The synagogue can accommodate up to 200 worshipers and features a Torah ark, a bimah, and a mikvah. The Magen Avot Synagogue has become the center of Jewish religious life in Dubai, hosting daily services, holiday celebrations, and special events.
