Some of the waxworks at Madame Tussauds are incredible. For one thing, it’s not always easy to differentiate the real folks from the fakes, which leads to a lot of strange misunderstandings. However, the mud marks on Jonny Wilkinson’s back, Bruce Willis’ paunch, and Kanye West’s terrible insecurity are all admirable intricacies lost on many of the onlookers.

Why do I need to book online?
We’re restricting the number of guests who can visit each day, to ensure we can maintain social distancing across all areas of the attraction. Therefore, Pre-booking your visit online is essential for all guests (including passholders).
I am a Merlin pass holder, how do I pre-book entry?
Currently, to comply with government regulations and Merlin Health & Safety standards, we need to manage our attraction capacities to ensure everyone has a safe and enjoyable visit. Therefore, all guests will be required to pre-book a free ticket online, including our Merlin Annual Passholders.
I have booked a ticket and it’s for a date when you are now reopened, but I don’t want to visit /my flight has been cancelled / I am on the NHS shielding list. What are my options?
We would like to reassure everyone that we are taking the necessary measures to provide a safe and hygienic environment for all of our guests and teams. However, we understand that for a range of unforeseen circumstances, such as if you have developed symptoms of Covid-19, or if it’s unsafe for you to travel, you may need to change the date/time of your visit to our attraction.
Do I need to wear a face covering/ facemask?
We are encouraging all guests to wear a face covering when visiting our attraction. Whilst legal requirements may have been lifted, you may see some signage stating ‘’Face coverings recommended’’ which will be displayed at entry points into our indoor attraction areas or high footfall areas. Please therefore be respectful of our staff and other guests
Will your toilets be open and how will you ensure they are safe?
Our toilet facilities will be open for guests and we have introduced new measures within these facilities to ensure spatial distancing. Enhanced cleaning will also take place throughout the day.
What do I do if one of my family is ill at the last minute?
We understand that due to unforeseen circumstances, or if you have developed symptoms of the coronavirus, you may need to change the date of your visit to our attraction. To change the date/time of your visit, please get in touch with us using one of the methods on this page.
How do I book an Under Three child?
All guests require a valid ticket to enter, including Under 3s who go free. Most ticket types give the option to book an under 3 ticket either whilst selecting the number of Adults and Children, or after you have selected the date and time of your booking. If you were unable to add an under 3 ticket during your main booking or forgot to, please speak to a member of the admissions team on the day of your visit to arrange a ticket.
Are there any restrictions for children at Madame Tussauds London?
Madame Tussauds London is suitable for all ages, however the following attractions have either Height restrictions or Age minimum/recommendations: Spirit of London Ride has a height restriction of 0.9m, anyone under this height must be accompanied by an adult onto this ride. Due to the frightening nature of the Alien: Escape experience, Madame Tussauds recommends that this experience is for guests aged 15 and above. For the Wax Hand experience, guests must be at least 1.3m in height and aged 8 or above to participate.
If I am 16 years old but would like to bring my friends who are 15 years old, can we go into the attraction without an adult?
Unfortunately not - as per our terms and conditions, a guest aged 15 years or under must have an adult aged 18 years or over accompanying them throughout the attraction.
