I see monkeys outside of the exhibits. Can I touch or take photos with them?
If you see these monkeys, they are the long-tailed macaques. These macaques are wild, they are not part of our zoo collection. Please do not approach and keep a safe distance. If you get too near, they may get scared and attack out of fear. The macaques have learnt to associate baby prams and plastic bags with food. They may approach you in search of food. If you encounter them, please keep all food out of sight. Remain calm and walk away.
