Safety and security
Ministry of Transport instructions require TLV Balloon visitors to undergo a security check and bag search. Weapons, large bags, sharp objects or any item that endangers flight security and safety is strictly prohibited. Children under 14 years old must be accompanied by an adult. The operator’s instructions must be complied with at all times. Do not extend your hands and / or any object outside the safety net surrounding the gondola. Smoking is strictly on the balloon site and in the balloon. Tel Aviv Balloon is registered in Israel as an aircraft and subject to Flight Transport Ordinance 1980.
How old must I be to ride the balloon?
There’s no limit! Children under 14 years old must be accompanied by an adult.
Can I book a flight date and time in advance?
Individuals cannot pre-book dates and times. We recommend you purchase flight tickets through the internet and reduce waiting time at ticket booths.
Are there seats in the balloon or is it standing room only?
The Tel Aviv Balloon flight is standing only. There are no seats, or designated standing places.
Do flyers stay in safety belts or can we move around safely on the gondola?
The gondola is very stable. Safety belts are not necessary and you can move around, subject to the operator’s instructions.
Can pregnant women fly in the balloon
The flight is gentle and safe if you are feeling fine and your position has not restricted your physical activity.
Can pets be taken aboard the balloon?
Pets are not allowed into the balloon site.
Is there cellphone reception when the balloon is in flight?
There is no known limitation on reception.
How high will the balloon go and how long is the flight?
The balloon rises to between 300 feet, depending on the wind speed and the amount of people on the balloon. The flight duration is between 10 to 15 minutes.
