What is Abu Dhabi's currency?
The local currency is the UAE dirham (AED). One dollar is equivalent to AED 3.6725. Note that credit and debit cards are widely accepted.
Do I need a visa to enter the UAE?
Free visa-on-arrival is available to passport holders of the following countries: Australia, Andorra, Austria, Brunei, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Monaco, The Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, San Marino, Singapore, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom, United States of America and the Vatican State. What kind of clothes should I pack?
Abu Dhabi's weather is pretty warm, so if you're visiting during the summer, you'll need to pack light breathable clothing as possible as temperatures exceed 30 degrees Celsius. If you're visiting anytime between November and April, make sure to bring a light jacket as it gets a bit chilly in the evening.
What do the power plugs look like?
The electrical supply is UAE is 220/240 volts, and square three-pin sockets are standard.

Do people tip?
Tipping is commonly practised in the emirate, however it is not expected. Some places may add a service charge of 10% and a tourism fee of 6% to your bill.
How do I get to Yas Island?
You can reach Yas Island by car, or boat.. If you're visiting from outside the UAE, your best option would be landing in Abu Dhabi International Airport (AUH), located just 15 minutes from the Island. You can then book an Uber, Careem, or licensed taxi to take you directly to your destination on Yas Island.
How do I get around Yas Island?
Yas Express, our complimentary shuttle bus service, can get you to any of the major island attractions. The Blue Route - which connects you to Yas Hotel Abu Dhabi, Yas Plaza Hotels, Yas Central, Ferarri World and Yas Waterworld - runs from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm. The Red Route - which connects hotel guests to Yas Marina, Yas Links and Yas Beach - runs from 9:00 am to 2:00 am. You can also get around the island by car, bike, or ride-sharing apps.
