Overview
Wadi Maydaq is a temporary watercourse in the Hajar mountains of Fujairah, United Arab Emirates. The stream flows from the village of Marbad, through the village of Maydaq, down to the Ajman exclave of Manama. The valley is guarded by the now-defunct Maydaq Fort, a central fortified agricultural center built by a canal. This wadi is traditionally associated with the communities of Sharqiyin. It is a popular destination for day travelers and hikers, celebrating its natural beauty. Conservationists have identified rare species in the wadi, including digging wasps.
Walk across the desert
It is an easy way to walk through the desert and rocks in a valley with plenty of water during the rainy season. Eventually, we just climbed a small mountain that I would not call easy for beginners as it is far away and has loose rocks, but you can continue to enter the valley with a slight hike but you should enter the winter in case you have no problem with a little watering. To get to the starting point it is advisable to use a car with a suitable location otherwise you can ride in a sedan but you need to be very careful and slow down as the car may get damaged.
Bluewater pool
We had pools in mind where we went. The exercise from our 1970 map above was really interesting with the many lakes. The map questions were prompted. What would it be like now that great progress has been made since then? Water is very valuable and with the increase in population would all water have been depleted? We went. When we get to the “Friday” market we know we are close. A quick stop, a coconut, and two Dora who could not be sprayed by international dolls then kicked us in the river.
Enjoyment
When we promoted the typical Friday families in families it was BBQing left, right, and center. At the head of the stream, we took a quick trip along the beautiful empty river flowing. There was a nice camping area behind the first entry track.
Trip
We continued the biggest trip of the day. The car track passed the tower as shown on the old map and suddenly ended up in a private residence. We parked outside, circled the outside of the mall, and entered the river below. The valley was once covered with vast, shallow lakes and it has become increasingly clear that we are no longer in the world of human rule.
We noticed only small tadpoles at first, but little by little as we climbed up the stream they cut off their legs, at which point they were small frogs with standing tales and eventually became a full-grown adult frog. We quickly climbed a nearby mountain! At the edge of the road, we crossed the first colony and returned to the river. Soon we came across many colorful frogs. As the afternoon progressed in front of us, we heard the frog’s frantic voice! We wandered around the creek near all the lakes and heard frogs, lovely frogs cooling with a plop, plop, plop plop.
After we barely survived the sweet frogs we stumbled on to our third place of the day. As we approach the first large college the road turns back and forth. As soon as we reached the summit, there was an uproar where some people had protested, and we did. After the right amount of wheel rotation it was time to take our medicine. The track was small and crowded so when we pulled back the track our car was under the influence of gravity and the steering wheel! We reached the bottom. I was really looking forwadi to getting some cracks with extra juice but the miss was not so popular. Conversations continued when we both saw what the same track was like. This ended all conversations and we tried again. This second route was very low but uneven. We have reached the top of an amazingly bright vista. The sun was setting and making the area look warmer. After entering and exiting the river we reached the end of the track. As the sun was about to set we quickly destroyed the wadi and stopped at the first lakes and had to return. The way back to Wadi Maydaq is a steep climb followed by a beautiful meander down the bending wadi after the bend. You will know when you approach it as the white quartz schist mountains grow larger and larger and also when a small pot of pepper explodes on the horizon.
When we reached what seemed to be a five-lane road, we continued on our way across the road and around the top corner between two white mountain treasures. Passing through a non-local area (you’ll know what to say when you get there), you finally stop at some amazingly beautiful lakes. We didn’t expect much but there was a small series of lakes that we had climbed like a reverse mini snake canyon.
Beauty of Nature
After refreshing, it would be a bit slow so we would go to Hajar mountain to see if we could look at the sea. The steep slope and the sea were marked by its magnificent black beauty. Going back up the mountain and driving back and forth along the creek, we were on our way home with a warm feeling of satisfaction when we went to a special place in this corner of Arabia.
