The origin of the name “Ngong Ping 360”
There are viewing windows on all sides of the cable car, allowing passengers to enjoy a 360-degree view, which is the meaning of the name Ngong Ping 360. The Ngong Ping Cable Car has two steering stations, among which the Airport Island steering station allows the cable car to turn up to 60 degrees. To ensure minimal impact on the environment, the cable car route has been carefully planned. The entire construction plan of Ngong Ping 360 is based on the principles of reducing the impact of the project on the environment and protecting the North Lantau Country Park.
The first company in Hong Kong to transport materials by mules and helicopters
To reduce the impact on the environment, helicopters and mules were used to transport more than 12,000 tons of construction materials during the construction of Ngong Ping 360, without the construction of temporary roads or transport towers.
